Redlands Parents and Friends

Looking forward to seeing all the Grandparents and Special Friends on the Junior Campus tomorrow. Please look out for more Year Group and Friends of Group get-togethers in the next couple of weeks – see schedules and links below.

We are also planning a Second Hand Uniform Sale of summer uniforms on Sat 2 Sept from 8.30am to 10.30am at the RPFA storage unit at 1 Monford Pl, around the corner from the uniform shop. We are also looking into the possibility of another sale during the week in Week 9 – watch this space for more info. As usual, our Second Hand Uniform Sales provide great value for families and also give each of us an opportunity to contribute to the clear benefits of recycling. In addition, funds raised are contributed towards the means-tested Redlands Foundation Scholarship Fund. We will only be accepting payments by EFTPOS. Please also remember to bring your own bags for your purchases.

Walks on Tracks

Weekly guided walks around the northern Sydney area are organised by an RPFA volunteer. This is a great way to meet other Redlands parents and get in shape, plus a wonderful way to spend a morning discovering the many paths of the Sydney area.

The invitation for walks is open, so if you have friends or family who you think would like to come along, please feel free to bring them. Dogs are also welcome on most walks.

Our walk next week on Wed 30 Aug is around Hunters Hill. Meet at Woolwich Pier Hotel, 2 Gale St at 8.40am.

Any questions, please contact Keiko on 0414 994 012.

Book Club

The Redlands Book Club is a group of Redlands parents – past and present – who share a love of reading. New members are always welcome! The Book Club meets twice each school term to discuss a book, rotating among members’ homes. Occasionally, outings are also organised to events, movies or shows that are tied in with books, including annual attendance at the Sydney Writer’s festival in May. If you would like to join Book Club, or simply want to know more, please contact Monica or Sabiha.

Our next book for this term is Babel by R.F. Kuang. The date for the meeting is to be confirmed. New book suggestions for next term are welcome!
