Walks on Tracks

Weekly guided walks around the northern Sydney area are organised by an RPFA volunteer. This is a great way to meet other Redlands parents and get in shape, plus a wonderful way to spend a morning discovering the many paths of the Sydney area.

The invitation for walks is open, so if you have friends or family who you think would like to come along, please feel free to bring them. Dogs are also welcome on most walks.

Our walk next week on Wed 9 Aug is from Balmoral to Clifton Gardens. Meet at Balmoral outside The Boatshed at 8.40am.

Any questions, please contact Ann Marie on 0406 691 533.

Book Club

The Redlands Book Club is a group of Redlands parents – past and present – who share a love of reading. New members are always welcome! The Book Club meets twice each school term to discuss a book, rotating among members’ homes. Occasionally, outings are also organised to events, movies or shows that are tied in with books, including annual attendance at the Sydney Writer’s festival in May. If you would like to join Book Club, or simply want to know more, please contact Monica or Sabiha.

Our next book for this term is Babel by R.F. Kuang. The date for the meeting is to be confirmed. New book suggestions for next term are welcome!

Parents Tennis

Join us for a series of tennis days at Neutral Bay Club!

Days will begin with a coffee at 10.30am and tennis commencing from 11am. A light lunch will be served from 12.30pm. You will have the choice of participating in either a Round Robin Doubles Competition or in an Adult Clinic with both beginner and intermediate sessions available. A prize will be awarded for the winner of the Round Robin competition and a Lucky Door prize will be awarded for the Adult Clinic. If you would like to come and play but do not have a racquet, the Club has racquets available to borrow.

It was a fun day on Wed 2 Aug with Prep School parents participating in a number of beginner and intermediate clinics and a Round Robin competition. Alice Salmon (Kindergarten) won the lucky door prize and received a Private Tennis Lesson and Fiona Beatty (Kindergarten, Year 6 and Year 8) won the Round Robin competition taking home the trophy, a brand new Babolat Tennis racquet and a set of balls.

We are looking forward to hosting the Junior School Parents day next week on Wed 9 Aug which is sold out and the Senior Parents Day on Wed 16 Aug for which there are a few places remaining.

For more information, please call Felicity on 0416 082 882 or Shirley on 0452 209 625.
