Changes to Policies and Procedures
Due to recent changes in the National Quality Standards and Education and Care Services National Regulations, we have recently updated and amended all of the Redlands House Policies and Procedures. Although we foresee that these amendments will not have an impact on families, we invite you to review and freely comment on the Policy Manual. A copy of the Redlands House Policies and Procedures Manual is available at the parent information area in the Redlands House hallway, outside Blue Class. Please let Mrs Huon know if you have any queries or concerns. Your feedback is valued and welcomed.
Quality Improvement Plan (QIP)
The ACECQA National Regulations require approved services to have a Quality Improvement Plan (QIP). The aim of a QIP is to help services self-assess their performance in delivering quality education and care and to plan for future improvements. The QIP also helps the regulatory authorities with their assessment of the service. When Redlands House was assessed three years ago, the Centre was very proud of its Exceeding Rating in all Seven Quality Areas. You will notice our new QIP display area in the hallway above the Orange Class lockers. This area will allow us to recognise our strengths and collaborate with families on ways we can endeavour to improve in each Quality Area. Our relationships with families and communities plays a vital role in our service and program, for this reason we would appreciate and value your feedback. We look forward to your thoughts, comments and suggestions.
Mother’s Day Celebration
Redlands House will be holding a Mother’s Day Celebration on Friday 10 May, beginning at 9.30am with classroom activities, followed by a shared morning tea outside in the playground. You are invited to bring some morning tea to share with your child, along with a picnic rug or chair for your comfort. We look forward to welcoming you as we celebrate this special day.
Mother’s Day Classic
Interested Redlands families are encouraged to register for the Redlands team on the Mother’s Day Classic website, to participate in the Mother’s Day Classic on Sunday 12 May. This is a wonderful family-oriented event with categories for serious runners through to fun runners of all ages. All proceeds from this event are donated to Breast Cancer Research.
Don’t forget to purchase your Redlands pink caps and a new pink Team Redlands t-shirt from the Uniform Shop, with all profits going to the Mother’s Day Classic charity.
To register your interest in joining the Redlands team, click here. Please note that you will need to complete the registration process, nearly all the way to the payment stage before you can select to join the Redlands team and the password is ‘Shine’.
Thank you to the Redlands Parents and Friends Association who will again have a tent at the event as a meeting point.
Tickets available here. Drinks and canapés will be served during the evening. This is a parent only event.
