Redlands House/Transition Gold
Chinese New Year Celebrations
Last Wednesday Redlands House and Transition Gold, together with the parent community, celebrated Chinese New Year. The interesting festivities included making dumplings, constructing paper lanterns, dress ups in traditional Chinese attire, cherry blossom paintings and dragon dancing. It was wonderful to see the children so interested and engaged. These types of celebrations are important as they foster respect, understanding and an awareness of the diversity within our school and the difference in culture of the world. We would like to thank Mrs Thomas and Ms Hamilton for organising the event, and all the parent helpers for your effort to make this celebration so successful. A special thanks to Anita Fu for organising all of the ingredients and cooking of the delicious dumplings.
Library
Each week our Transition class, and each fortnight our Senior classes, attend lessons in the Lucy Hill Library. Please ensure your child comes equipped with their library bag for every lesson if they wish to borrow, to ensure all our books are kept safe. Library bags are available from the Uniform Shop. Thank you.
