Kindergarten and Transition Gold Orientation Day
On Wednesday 7 November students will be attending their Orientation Day for Kindergarten or Transition 2019. The day will commence as normal with a regular drop off at the Preschool, where Kindergarten staff will collect students and accompany them to the Prep area for the day. The teachers will tailor the day for the students, whereby they will be able to play in the playground, eat morning tea and lunch, and rotate amongst the classes. This will enable staff to familiarise themselves with all children as they participate in the stimulating Kindergarten and Transition environment. Students can be collected at the end of their day at the Preschool. For students who do not attend Preschool on Wednesdays, drop off will be at 9.00am and collection at 2.00pm from the Preparatory Reception. Please note lunches will not be refrigerated on this day.
2019 Kindergarten Information Session and Morning Tea
On Wednesday 7 November at 9.15-10.00am, there will be an Information Session and Morning Tea for all 2019 Kindergarten parents in the Arnold Library on the Junior Campus.
2019 Transition Gold Information Evening
On Wednesday 7 November from 5.00-6.00pm, there will be an Information Session for all 2019 Transition Gold parents in the Arnold Library on the Junior Campus.
Redlands House Seniors and Transition Gold End of Year Concert – Wednesday 28 November
Costume Requirements
Each student will be wearing a white t-shirt supplied by Redlands. Please send the following items to Preschool before Wednesday 21 November in a named bag:
- All white shorts, skirt OR pants, no patterns stripes or logos
- White socks and any clean shoes to match their outfit.
Concert Day
On the concert day, students are asked to come to school in their Redlands uniform and they will be given their costume. All long hair is to be tied back off faces. Students are asked to arrive by 9.00am, where staff will have time for final preparations before a 10.00am concert start. When the concert finishes at approximately 11.00am, students will return to Redlands House for a normal school day. Should you wish to collect your child early, please do so from Redlands House, signing them out as per regulations.
Seniors End of Year Concert Bookings
To avoid the worry and stress associated with arriving at Dunnet Hall early in order to secure that perfect seat, we use a free on-line booking system for seat allocation. Families have reported that this is a wonderful facility. You only need to book seats and no payment is required. For Redlands House and Transition Gold the system will be accessible from 9.30am Monday 5 November. The site is locked until that time. It will close on Friday 12 November at 9.30am. End of Year
The last day of the year for Redlands House students is Tuesday 4 December. Redlands House will close after the Prep School Concert at 12.30pm. Please note there is no Late Room on this day. The last day for Late Room is 3 December.
Vacation Care
In preparation for your Summer holidays, we would like to take this opportunity to give you notice that Vacation Care will be operating from Monday 10 December to Monday 17 December and Monday 7 January to Friday 18 January inclusive. The OOSH department will be closed for the Christmas holiday period from Tuesday 18 December to Sunday 6 January. If you are leaving Redlands at the end of the year, the last day of class attendance is Monday 3 December, for all Redlands House children and is considered the end of your enrolment. Unfortunately, you are not able to access Vacation Care after your enrolment has ended. Further information on the exciting program and booking details for Vacation Care will be emailed to families in the coming weeks.
