Redlands House/Transition Gold

Allergies

This year at Redlands House we have children enrolled who are at risk to anaphylaxis in response to the following foods: eggs, tree nuts, sesame seeds – including hummus, tahini and sushi with sesame on it, and uncooked dairy.

We request that all families enrolled support these children by limiting items that contain any of the above ingredients at Preschool.

Dog Safety Program

Next week the Senior classes will participate in the Responsible Pet Education Program. This program will assist the children to develop skills and strategies for dealing with dogs, and how to stay safe around dogs.  Australia has one of the highest rates of pet ownership in the world. Educating children ensures the child-pet relationship is not only physically and emotionally rewarding but also a safe one. The program allows children to become better prepared when dealing with dogs outside the home and throughout the community.

Father’s Day

This year, Preschool are hosting an activity morning to celebrate Father’s Day on Friday 31 August. The Preschool drop off will be at the usual time and we look forward to welcoming fathers who would like to stay and join in the morning’s activities. Mornings such as these can be busy, a reminder to give some thought to our neighbours and be vigilant with parking in the surrounding areas.

Redlands Spring Fair

The Redlands Rhino visited Redlands House this morning to get the children excited for the Spring Fair on 15 September. The children will be decorating pots this week that can be purchased at the Spring Fair.
