Redlands House/Transition Gold
Allergies
This year at Redlands House we have children enrolled who are at risk to anaphylaxis in response to the following foods: egg, tree nuts, sesame seeds – including hummus and tahini.
Redlands requests that all families enrolled support these children by limiting items that contain any of the above ingredients at Preschool.
Jeans for Genes Day
Redlands House will be taking part in Jeans for Genes Day on Friday 3 August. If your child attends Preschool on this day, please join us in supporting this charity by wearing jeans and/or denim to Preschool and bringing a gold coin to place in the boxes on the sign-in table. Jeans for Genes Day raises money to support the Children’s Medical Research Institute to discover treatments and cures for childhood illnesses.
Seniors Transition to School Visit and Sports Day
All Redlands House Seniors and Transition Gold children will be visiting a Kindergarten classroom in the morning on Wednesday 15 August to share in the experience of being in ‘Big School’. Accompanying them will be their classroom teacher and the Kindergarten teachers. They will be exposed to the Kindergarten classroom environment, where they will listen to a story and engage in activities within the room, before returning to Redlands House for Morning Tea. We believe all children will benefit from this experience, even if they will be attending another school next year.
Our annual Sports Day will then be held after Morning Tea on the same day, from 11.15am on the Prep School Oval. This is an exciting time for the children to share their sporting achievements with parents and friends. All parents are very welcome to come along to cheer on your child’s class and see the dedicated PE Department in action, enthusiastically assisted by Yr 6 students. The event should finish at approximately 12.30pm. If you would like to take your child home after this exciting and eventful morning, just remember to let your class teacher know before you leave. The Junior Campus Canteen will be open for parents to enjoy snacks and coffee. We look forward to sharing in a wonderful time with our aspiring future Olympians!
