Redlands House and Transition Gold
Farewell and Goodluck
Sadly this is Mrs Gilroy’s last week at Redlands House for a while. Mrs Gilroy is expecting her second child shortly. We wish Beth and Luke all the best for the safe arrival of their little one, we know Archie will make a fabulous big brother. Mrs Thomas has been getting to know the Blue Class Juniors of the last few weeks and she is excited to work with them for the rest of the year.
Book Week
Book Week will be celebrated in Week 6 of term. Students are invited to dress as their favourite book character on Tuesday 22 August and Friday 25 August. Read, Grow, Inspire is the theme for 2023, and the featured artist is Australian illustrator Matt Ottley whose book Luke’s Way of Looking was a CBCA Honor Book in 2000. We encourage the children to dress as a book character and ask that children do not dress as superheroes please.
Seniors Mini Sports Carnival
On Wednesday 23 August, all Senior and Transition Gold students will participate in a Sports Carnival on the Junior Campus Oval from 11.30am to 12.30pm. The students will have the opportunity in engage in a range of games that assist in developing skills, strength, coordination and teamwork. Parents are invited to watch this exciting event. Please enter through the Prep School reception for an 11.30am start.
Grandparents and Special Friends Day
We will celebrate this special day on Friday 25 August. As it is also Book Week we will have a special parade. At 10am, we invite our grandparents and special friends to join us on the basketball courts adjacent to Redlands House, where we will have a parade of all of the costumes, followed by morning tea in the Redlands House playground concluding at 11am. Please join us.
