Redlands House and Transition Gold
Jeans 4 Genes
Just a reminder Redlands House will be taking part in Jeans for Genes Day on Friday 4 August. If your child attends Preschool on this day, please join us in supporting this charity by wearing jeans and/or denim to Preschool and bringing a gold coin to donate to the boxes on the sign in table. Jeans for Genes Day raises money to support the Children’s Medical Research Institute to discover treatments and cures for childhood illnesses.
Book Week
Book Week will be celebrated in Week 6 of term. Students are invited to dress as their favourite book character on Tuesday 22 August and Friday 25 August. Read, Grow, Inspire is the theme for 2023, and the featured artist is Australian illustrator Matt Ottley whose book Luke’s Way of Looking was a CBCA Honor Book in 2000. We encourage the children to dress as a book character and ask that children do not dress as superheros please.
Grandparents and Special Friends Day
We will celebrate this special day on Friday 25 August. As it is also Book Week we will have a special parade. At 10am, we invite our grandparents and special friends to join us on the basketball courts adjacent to Redlands House, where we will have a parade of all of the costumes, followed by morning tea in the Redlands House playground concluding at 11am. Please join us.
