Redlands House and Transition Gold
Mother’s Day Celebration – Monday 15 May, 7.45am
We are delighted to host a Mother’s Day Celebration where mothers can come together for coffee and conversation.
Join us from 7.45am in the Piazza (Junior Campus), where baristas will serve freshly brewed hot beverages, accompanied with some refreshments. Students will enjoy a complimentary juice popper.
This year, our activities will include:
- A Redlands photo booth for you to take a happy snap with your children
- A special performance by our prep students at 8.20am
- In-class activities in Prep and Redlands House from 8.45am
To assist with catering, please book your attendance here:
Following the celebration in the Junior Campus Piazza, please join us in the Preschool from 9am to 9.30am for activities and music lessons with the children and teachers.
Healthy Eating Week
We strongly advocate for healthy eating at Redlands House. The students are always encouraged to eat healthy foods, or everyday foods as we call them, first before any sweet treats. Preschool children need to eat foods from all five healthy food groups – vegetables, fruit, grain foods, dairy and protein. Healthy foods have nutrients that are important for growth, development and learning. In Week 4, all of Redlands House will focus on healthy eating and exercise.

Learning Discussions for Junior
Parent Teacher Interviews for families of Junior Students will be held in Week 5, from Monday 22 May to Friday 26 May. Interviews can be booked here. The code is v5kdf. Bookings can be made until Friday 19 May at 9am. If you’re unable to attend these interviews in person, we can arrange for the interview to be conducted via Zoom. Please book in and advise your teacher directly if you would prefer a Zoom interview session.

Transition Gold 2024 (Pre-K) Information Session
On Wednesday 31 May, an Information Session will be held at 3pm in the Transition Gold classroom. This is an opportunity for families interested in the Transition program (Pre-K) for 2024 to see the classroom and hear about the program. Should you be interested, please wait at Prep Reception at 3pm and you will be directed to the Transition classroom.
Kindergarten 2024 and 2025
It was lovely to welcome current parents of Redlands House Seniors and TG students as well as new faces to our 2024/2025 Kindergarten Information session this week. It provided us all with an opportunity to connect and start sharing information as to how Kindergarten works as well as what the transition from preschool to the Preparatory School looks like.
It was wonderful to share the importance of student agency and voice via the student interview with Billy and Amber (Year 2) as well as the ‘A Day in the Life of a Prep School student’ video (filmed and edited by Harper Fielding and Henry Partington, Yr5).
For Redlands House families who didn’t make the session, please know that there will be other orientation sessions that will occur later this year. I encourage you to come along to those to start forming connections with the Prep school and to answer any questions that may be starting to pop up.
