Redlands House and Transition Gold

Welcome Back

We hope all of our families had a wonderful Easter break, sharing some time to relax, rejuvenate and spent time with loved ones. We look forward to a busy and productive term ahead.

Independence

At Redlands House we encourage strongly encourage independence. We love seeing the children carry their own bags, pack away their belongings and look after their food containers. As children grow and develop, they become more able to do things for themselves, to express themselves and to explore their world independently. Independence contributes to the development of self-esteem, identity and wellbeing. Doing something for yourself produces a powerful sense of achievement and success. When children have opportunities to make choices, to attempt tasks for themselves, and to take on increasing responsibilities, their sense of themselves as competent members of society grows.

Illness

As the cooler weather of winter approaches, and we come into cold and flu season, we encourage you to please keep your child(ren) at home if they are unwell. This prevents the spread of infection amongst the children and staff. If your child is absent, could you please send an email to Mrs Tait  or Mrs Huon to advise of the absence. Thank you.

Toys at Preschool

We are blessed with beautiful resources at Redlands House, so we encourage the children to please leave toys at home. They can become lost or broken whilst at Preschool. If your child has a special item to share for ‘News’, please leave this with your class teacher in the morning. We have discussed this matter with the children. We thank you for your support with this.
