Redlands House and Transition Gold

Excursion to the Coal Loader

It was with great excitement that the Seniors and Transition Gold students boarded the bus bound for the Coal Loader Centre for Sustainability at Ball Head, Waverton. It was wonderful for the children to experience first hand this platform for the delivery of a wide range of sustainability programs. We saw how they transformed the old coal loading platform into a green roof and public open space for North Sydney and really enjoyed exploring one of the 160m tunnels from the historic coal loading system. In Tunnel 1 and saw the original coal feeder and cart still in situ. We also enjoyed seeing the indigenous rocks carving, chicken coop and open green spaces.

A special thank you to the wonderful parent helpers who accompanied us on the excursion. These events would not be possible without your assistance.

Senior and Transition Gold Games

On Wednesday 9 November the Seniors and Transition Gold students will participate in a mini sports carnival on the Prep School oval from 11.30am to 12.30pm. Parents and families are encouraged to come and watch and cheer on the children as they participate in a variety of games.

Melbourne Cup Celebrations

A big shout out to all of the Redlands House families who attended the Redlands Melbourne Cup Luncheon. The auction went really well and we were so pleased to see such a great turnout from the Redlands House. We love seeing our parents connecting with each other and the wider Redlands community. These connections benefit the children greatly.
