The Potato People
Shared reading is popular with all children. Mrs Maré recently shared The Potato People with many of the children. This book is about a Grandmother and her grandson, they make potato people together. Until one day the grandson stops coming around and the potatoes begin to wither and sprout, so grandma buries them. Teaches about how potatoes are grown and how love grows deep between Grandparents and Grandchildren. Mrs Maré then organised for the children to plant and grow some potato of their own. They have been enjoying watering and caring for the plants. Hopefully soon we will have some potatoes to harvest.
