Music Captains 2021

The Music Department would like to acknowledge the strength of leadership of our 2020 Music Captains:  Tobias Page (Captain of Choirs), Cara Eccleston (Captain of Strings), Luke Brown (Captain of Bands) and Emily Colvin (Captain of Small Ensembles), who have been positive and dedicated individuals across a very different year in Music. These student leaders, along with many of other Yr 12 musicians have displayed resilience and determination when faced with the various unexpected challenges that have impacted weekly rehearsals and traditional performance opportunities to share their musical talents with the School community.

In building on the positive influence and contributions our 2020 Music Captains have shown this year, the Music Department is pleased to announce and welcome our new Music Captains and leaders, who we know will continue to guide Redlands musicians and play a key role in leading the Cocurricular Music Ensembles programs into 2021. Already, in a short period of time, they have demonstrated excellent initiatives in supporting the Yrs 8 and 9 Music Elective Performances.

Various Music groups and Ensembles will be involved in recording projects across Weeks 5 and 6 working in conjunction with Redlands Sound Engineer Mr Pete Atkins (Audio) and Videographer Mr James Taggart (Video) from Tagged Pictures.

The major recording days for students enrolled in the Music Ensembles Program will occur in Week 6.
