Yr 2-3 and Yr 6-7 Transition
As the Year 3 and 6 students prepare for the exciting transition to Secondary School in 2025, we would like to take this opportunity to update you on Redlands Private Music Tuition, Rock Bands and Cocurricular Ensembles for 2025.
Private Music Tuition and Rock Bands:
There is an automatic roll-over from Prep to Junior, and Junior to Senior school with the Private Music Tuition. To make this transition seamless, your child will retain the same Private Tutor.
CoCurricular Ensembles:
An automatic roll-over also applies for Cocurricular Music Ensembles from Yr 2 into 3 and Yr 6 into Year 7, with your child being added to the equivalent ensemble roll on both the Junior (3-6) Campus and the Senior Campus. More information regarding our 2025 cocurricular and extracurricular timetable will be sent out over the coming week.
Should your child wish to discontinue from any of their Music commitments, please complete the Notice of Change Form on the Music Pulse pages by Friday 29 November to avoid late notice charges in the new year. This greatly assists us in supporting our casual workforce with work and income guarantees, and we thank you for your assistance to this end.

Calling all potential Rock Band players! We currently have vacancies for our Rock Band program.

- Drummer Yr 10/11 (immediate or 2025 start)

Independent Schools Heads of Music Dinner
On Tuesday night, Redlands hosted the Independent Schools Heads of Music Dinner, which gathers the various Heads of Music from across NSW who work within Independent schools. It was an insightful meeting, focusing on the new proposed NESA Syllabus for Music in Yrs 11 and 12. The dinner was also a great opportunity for the sharing of innovative teaching practices and learning in various schools and settings across NSW Independent Schools.

Join the Friends of Music!
Music is really thriving at Redlands, with over 500 students involved across the School, P-12 across Private Tuition, Ensembles and Performance Opportunities.
