Music
Congratulations HSC Music 1 & 2 Performers!
This past Wednesday and Thursday, our Music 1 and Music 2 students have completed their HSC Practical Performances. It has been impressive to witness their musical development for many years, and these examinations were a celebration of all of their efforts towards improving their performance craft. They are now set up with skills that go beyond Music, and we hope they take them forward into their next adventures.
AMEB Woodwind and Voice Examinations
Congratulations to students who have now completed their AMEB Woodwind exams! Students were cool, calm and collected and we continue to be impressed with the level of preparation among our learners. As always, we thank Tutors for their work in supporting students, as well as our Resident Associate Artist, Dr Jeremy Eskenazi for his ongoing collaboration with our students to prepare them for success.
We wish the best of luck to our vocal students who will be recording their AMEB examination next Wednesday.
Term 3 Composition Focus
Our Yr 12 composers are in the final stages of producing and submitting their final NESA / IB composition recordings, and Yrs 8-10 Music elective students are bringing their composition assessments home in Week 8, with some exciting explorations happening in the realms of Australian, Romantic & 20th/21st Century music styles.
On the theme of Composition in Term 3, we thank all those who submitted songs and works for consideration for the Redlands EP 2024! The panel are delighted by the record number of submissions and are busily making the hard decisions as to whose marvellous compositions will win the prize of being Studio Recorded / Produced for release in 2024!
