New Leadership Roles in Redlands Music
As we farewelled Amy Richardson last Term to pastures new, we are pleased to confirm new leadership roles for two of our existing staff members in Redlands Music.
Katherine Moses has been appointed as Subject Coordinator for Junior Campus Music, providing leadership for all curriculum Music across the Prep and Junior Schools, including the MIP Program for Years 4 and 5, and String Program for Yr 2. Katherine has been instrumental to the Junior Campus Music program for the last few years and we are excited to have her in this significant new position. Katherine will continue to play a vital role in the cocurricular program as Head of Strings, and is putting together a wonderful Junior Music Festival in early August (more details below!).
Mathew Owen has been appointed to the role of Director of Music Performance (P-12). This new leadership role comprises day to day and strategic leadership of the wide range of music performance opportunities across the School, including private tuition, ensembles, festivals and events. Mathew is well known to the Redlands community, having been a Music Teacher and Lead Conductor of Instrumental Ensembles since January 2019 and Head of Music Enrichment since January 2021. We look forward to Mathew’s leadership and direction in this space as we continue to enhance the student experience of music performance at Redlands.
Later this term we will be joined by a new Subject Coordinator for Secondary School Music, who will be leading and managing the curriculum aspects of Music on the Senior Campus.
There is no change to the way in which you can contact the Music Department, with all details on Redlands Pulse.

As the culmination of their year’s work and by way of assessment, all elective students present a showcase performance in the Edwards Auditorium each year for parents and friends.
