Senior Music Festival – Friday 16 June 2022 6pm
We hope you’re as excited as we are! Our flagship cocurricular showcase, the Senior Music Festival will hit the Concourse stage in just 6 weeks time! Our LIKE A VARIATION theme is proving such fun to rehearse – a twist on the Triple J Radio segment LIKE A VERSION! We are all having fun taking well-loved pieces to make them new. This night of nights is not just for parents of students in the cocurricular program, but for our whole Redlands community from P-12. Ticketing will open in Week 3, and it’s promising to be a sell-out show you won’t want to miss.
Spotlight on…Prep Choir!
Yr 1 and 2 students have been enjoying attending Prep Choir on Friday mornings. Please note that whilst we are still accepting enrolments, Semester 1 admission for Yr 1 and Yr 2 students will close in Week 3 as we are now preparing for a performance in the Choral Celebration. As previously communicated, we welcome Kindergarten students to enrol for a Semester 2 start.
Lunchtime Recital Series
Our Resident Associate Artist, Dr Jeremy Eskenazi is creating wonderful opportunities for young musicians to develop stagecraft and garner performance experience. Last week saw the the launch of the Thursday Lunchtime Recital Series in the Edwards Auditorium, and again today, we enjoyed performances from several of our Year 12 students as they prepare for their performance assessments in the weeks ahead.
This weekly fixture will continue to feature Elective Music students from Yrs 8-12 and we welcome friends to bring their lunch and come along to support! Looking forward to seeing this initiative develop further in the weeks and months to come.
Senior Instrumental Competition Finals – Monday 22 May 2023
Esteemed international chamber musician and collaborative artist, Dr Theresa Leung will be joining us in the John Roberts Centre on Friday to adjudicate the finals of our Senior Instrumental Competition for 2023! Free tickets can be reserved using the link below.

Senior Vocal Competition Auditions – due Friday 5 May 2023
Our annual Senior Vocal Competition will be held on Friday 9 June 2023, and is set to be auditioned by the wonderful Chloé Zuel – known for her most recent work as Eliza in the original Australian cast of Hamilton. Audition submissions are due by tomorrow afternoon Friday 5th May. Please see the iLearn Music Auditions page for more details.
HICES Auditions
Thank you to the students who auditioned to attend HICES in August this year on Wednesday. We will be in touch with the outcome as soon as we have been advised.
AMEB Examinations – Forms due this Monday
The Australian Music Examination Board Instrumental examinations will be held in September this year, with Enrolment forms due on Monday 8 May. Please discuss the details with your child’s tutor and we will be happy to enrol on your behalf.

Studio Concerts – Weeks 5 – 7
Did you know that over 480 students each week receive private vocal and instrumental tuition from our expert team of specialists? We are very proud of the opportunities available to our Redlanders, and in support of these lessons, we seek to provide performance opportunities through events, optional exams and elective classes throughout the year. Our Studio Concert Series each semester provides an informal and relaxed opportunity for our developing musicians to share their progress with a supportive audience of family and friends. We look forward to confirming days and times in the weeks ahead, and to throwing our doors wide open to supporters who would like to join us for these informal concerts.

Gala Arts
Put it in your diaries, Gala Arts will be returning to The Concourse at the start of Term 3 on Friday 21 July.
