Every member of our Cocurricular Music program is in the running for a bunch of great prizes for highest ticket sales! When purchasing tickets, simply add your child / friend’s Redlands student number in the ‘Password’ section, and you’ll help bump them up the leaderboard towards these epic prizes!
Senior Vocal Competition Winners
Congratulations to our talented young vocalists who competed in the Senior Vocal Competition last Friday. Our guest judge, MEG MAC was magnanimous in praise of our aspiring artists (and also mentioned she wished she went to Redlands)! Whilst encouraging of all performers, Meg awarded the following:

Senior Advanced Ensemble Auditions
Semester 2 Advanced Strings, Advanced Concert Band and Jazz Vocal Ensemble audition applications are now open and we strongly encourage students to apply. Even if not successful this time, going through the audition process is an incredibly valuable experience for students, and provides an opportunity for feedback.
Students will find all audition requirements on the ‘Music Department Auditions’ iLearn page. Applications close Friday 24th June.
Junior Music Festival 2022 – SCHOOL OF ROCK!
As we approach the end of Term 2 students and teachers are in full swing with JMF rehearsals. Featuring every student in the Junior School, expect to be singing along to your favourite rock and roll hits as our curriculum and cocurriculum ensembles perform their hearts out. This is a great time to remind students of the ‘team’ nature of being in an ensemble, and the importance of timely and focused rehearsal attendance. It has been particularly impressive to see our Junior students bringing pencils to rehearsals to write in any special conductor messages on their music!

Junior Campus Choral Celebration
Singing is at the core of what we do in music at Redlands. The old adage ‘if you can sing it, you can play it’ certainly rings true in our curriculum offerings and students in the choral stream of our cocurricular ensembles are building on core learning experiences to produce a lovely choral sound. Our 2022 Choral Celebration is just that – a celebration of all things singing on the Junior Campus. Whilst it is not an event with a parent audience, students in TG to Year 6 will enjoy performing for their peers and teachers, and students have even prepared a combined item Sesere Eeye, which you might hear at home this week! Thanks must go to our Head of Choral Mrs Nicole Roberts and our wider Junior Music department for preparing this event.
