What a time to be alive and making music at Redlands! There is so much happening in the Music Department – from preparation for Year 12 Trials, rehearsals for Foundation Day and the Junior Choral Celebration, the Senior Vocal Competition and of course the Senior Music Festival!

Please forgive a Note Day that is riffing on similar themes as last week, but worth repeating just the same to help make sure all our big messages are getting out there!

Tickets are already selling fast! Don’t miss the chance to join us as 240 talented performers take to the stage of the Chatswood Concourse Concert Hall on Friday 17 June 2022 at 6pm. This year’s theme The Greatest of All Time (GOAT) is promising one brilliant night to remember! An evening of fun and joy compered by our hugely entertaining graduating Class of 2022, this year’s program features a smorgasbord of the greatest songs, the greatest artists and the greatest composers… there’s something for every member of our Redlands community from the youngest to the oldest.

Friends of Music Morning Tea – Sunday 5 June 2022 – 10am

Friends of Music would like to invite parents (including those from Junior School who may want a peek at a Senior Music Festival rehearsal) to join us for morning tea this coming Sunday in the Senior Music Centre when our senior students are rehearsing for SMF.

Senior Vocal Competition Finals – Next Friday 10 June

We are thrilled to announce that our judge for 2022 will be the ARIA-nominated, indie-soul icon Meg Mac. Just a week before her headline performance at the Sydney Opera House, we’re delighted she could pop by Redlands to lend her ear and talents to discern the winners of this years Senior Vocal Competition finals!

Due to the large volume of finalists in this year’s Senior Vocal Competition, the first division will start at 5.30pm. Due to room size limitations, attendance is limited to friends and families of competitors in their respective sections.  Please note that the session times are guides only and indicate the earliest possible start time for the division. As seats are not allocated, ticket-holders are advised to arrive with plenty of time ahead of their respective session. Please also ensure you bring a face-mask to assist us in managing community wellbeing.

DIVISION ONE (YRS 7 + 8) – 5.30pm
DIVISION TWO (YRS 9 + 10) – 6.30pm
DIVISION THREE (YRS 11 + 12) – 8.00pm
