Wednesday Sport

Our first Wednesday of the modified Summer program was a great success judging by the smiles on the students faces and the chatter on the way back to class. Every student had the opportunity to come out with their Year Group for an hour and took part in either their Representative Sport or a variation of their Non-Representative Sport.

In a blast from the past, the Redlands House Basketball Courts were returned to their former glory where instead of travelling to our external Tennis venues, we brought in a dozen portable Tennis nets, red dot and green dot balls, rubber line marking and 5 coaching staff from our coaching team at Grand Slam Tennis. This allowed both our rep and non rep Tennis students from Yrs 3-6 to get back on court and prepare for the season ahead.

On the oval we had our first Touch Football training, having come in as a new sport for Term 4 for Yrs 5 and 6. New concepts of dumping the ball and scooping seemed to be picked up pretty quickly by those involved. Other students were involved in Futsal competitions, mini AFL games, boxercise as well as trials taking place in Dunnet Hall for mixed and girls Basketball. This program will continue for the next four weeks.

Term 3/4 Summer Sport Lists

We have a small number of students coming to Wednesday Sport who are unsure what Summer Sport their parents have signed them up for. Please refer to Redlands Pulse for our Term 4 Summer season information. Please note as advertised previously, there are no more spaces available for students to change sport in any of our representative sports.

Summer Sport Trials Term 3

For those students who are involved in Representative Sport for Term 4 Summer there are final trials before final team allocations Saturday 5 and Saturday 12 September. Sessions are 90min in duration and in adhering to COVID-19 protocols, students will be separated by grade for these trials. Click here to view your session times and venue.

As outlined above if you plan to commit to a Representative Summer Sport then the expectation is that you attend the trials associated with these sports
