Basketball

IPSHA Mixed Basketball

More strong team play from our A-D teams at Dunnet Hall last week led to four great wins in Dunnet Hall over Sydney Grammar School. William Wu scored 14 points in the A match, whilst Jack Hutchings topped the B team with 8 points in a match where the Redlands scoring was well shared around. Chris Stevens was on fire with 25 points in the C match. Heidi De Saxe and Digby Scott led the way for the D team. There are exciting prospects for Redlands Basketball in 2020 with 4 of these 5 top scorers coming from the Yr 5 group.

Time and Venue Changes

There are some changes to the Basketball matches this week. Teams A-D are playing at Newington Wyvern Campus, 115 Cambridge St Stanmore D at 7.30am, C at 8.15am, B at 9.00am and A at 9.45am.

Matches scheduled for Dunnet Hall have been shifted to Lang Gym and the times have changed: H team now at 7.30am, G team now 8.15am, F team now 9.00am and E team 9.00am.

Yrs 3 and 4 A and B teams are now at Lang Gym: B team at 10.30am and A at 11.15am.

Girls Basketball

Redlands Gold and Red both travelled to Tara last weekend and played great team games, coming away with wins. The Red team managed 40 points in a scoring cavalcade, Syrah Hargreave topping the girls with 12.

Gold girls were really well matched up against Pymble and only the deft team play of Ava Mills, Jove Hazell and the finishing of Ruby McDonald were the difference in a 22-21 win.

Cricket

The Petersen brothers are really enjoying their stint in the same team. Liam and Rowan equal top scoring with 11 runs a piece in our tally of 8 for 96. The Redlands boys are getting closer each week and have solid contributions with the ball and in the field from everyone, Luke Shoosmith and George Procter turning the tide of the game with two athletic run outs.

Tennis

Redlands Tennis also looks to be in great shape with another strong win from our team against Waverley at Cammeray last week. All of our ranks 1-8 were dominant across both singles and doubles matches. This weekend our ranks 1-8 take on Trinity at Trinity Tennis Centre, 55 King St Canterbury from 7.30am.

Ranks 9-20 and any other non-ranked rep players are encouraged to attend Cammeray from 8.00am this Saturday, where the players will be put through a series of singles matches to try and help build experience in match play.
