Summer Sports Photos

Photographs for summer sports teams will be taken during school time next Wednesday. The timetable for photos will be posted in class. Rep sports team members should bring their playing uniform to change into for photos. Girls AFL and boys Spring Challenge AFL will be provided guernseys for the photo.

Basketball

Our Basketball team kick off the back end of the 2019 season this Saturday with all matches as per the original schedule on Redlands Pulse. Our teams are pretty finely balanced to ensure meaningful playing time for all players, so if you’re not available please let us know as early as possible so that replacements can be arranged.

From time to time, players may be asked to arrive early or to remain behind to play an extra game. This is at the discretion of our coaches and can be an indicator of strong performance and an opportunity to play some game time in a higher grade. Equally, it can be an opportunity for a player to enter into a lower graded game to work on a particular aspect or skill that they may have worked on in practice. It’s not essential that you stay or arrive early, but each of our coaches has a player development focus and the additional game time may well be a part of their plan.

IPSHA Basketball isn’t played for competition points or finals berths, it’s aim is to give students from similar schools the opportunity to learn, play and have fun in a healthy competition.

All players will need a numbered Basketball singlet available for purchase or hire from the Uniform Shop before matches begin. Students should also wear their Basketball singlets to practice on Wednesdays. Singlets are reversible and can be used by coaches to help determine teams for practice drills and scrimmage matches.

Before school Basketball training is available on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 7.15am in Dunnet Hall. Players from any grade and mixed or Girls Basketball are welcome to attend.

Girls Basketball

Teams for Girls Basketball have been emailed and posted on the Junior School Sports Noticeboard. Girls will also need to hire a uniform singlet for matches during Term 4. The draw for girls matches has been emailed and is available on Redlands Pulse.

Cricket

Our cricketers take on Barker at Barker this week with the match time pushed back to 8.00am. Coach Nick will be at Barker from 7.30am for warm up. It’s an exciting time for our cricketers who should be well matched in the 5B competition and will play host later in the season to the Junior Campus Oval’s first Cricket matches.

Tennis

Tennis rankings for this week have been finalised and our players ranked 1-8 will be playing against Scots this week at Cammeray at 8.00am (7.30am for warm up). Players ranked 9-16 have no match this week but will play intra squad matches at Cammeray Tennis Club the following Saturday from 8.00-10.00am. All info regarding rankings and matches will be emailed to players and their parents.

Term 4 Sports Schedule

The schedule for Term 4 matches is available on Redlands Pulse.
