Football
All matches are as advertised on the original draw available on Redlands Pulse.
Yr 5 Football this weekend is at the Treacy Complex, 1A Dreadnought Road, Oxford Falls. Please note that Wakehurst Parkway will be closed this weekend between Narrabeen and Seaforth which is going to cause significant traffic issues on the northern beaches and will make it hard for families to reach Oxford Falls. Please allow a little extra time, or consider an alternative route.
Our Yr 6 footballers outplayed their opponents last Saturday in trying wet and windy conditions, but couldn’t get the result. Both 6A and B teams had the better of Sydney Grammar, creating more chances but just unable to find the net.
Yr 4 Blue Football scored five goals against Sydney Grammar to help them to an emphatic win. With the aid of some of the boys on the team, Stella Cunningham, Scarlett Cortes and Lucy Maher shocked the Grammar boys by netting goals. The score for Redlands Girls on the blue team 4, Sydney Grammar 0.
Rugby
Our Rugby Sevens boys continue to perform well, winning two from three games last weekend, losing their final game only narrowly to Scots after dominating Kings and Trinity in earlier matches. The Rugby XV are finding their groove and despite going down to a well drilled Tudor House team, showed great spirit and tenacity to pile on together the last try of the game. They take on Trinity Prep this week at Macquarie at 10am.
Hockey
Our Hockey girls scored twice in a dominant opening half despite being a couple of players down in their clash against Arden last week. Their 2-0 victory was a great result. With Hockey being played mainly on synthetic turf, there are rarely rain cancellations, however the system in place for checking is very good. Check blinkm.co/IPSHA and follow the prompt for your venue to get the latest updates and info on your venue.
Cross Country
Congratulations to the following students who, based on their results from last week’s Cross Country Carnival, will go on to defend Redlands HICES Division 1 title in Orange on 29 May.

Tennis
Stella Simpson Morgan has been a leading light in Redlands Tennis now for a few years. Playing in the top ranked spot in our Summer Saturday team, Stella has faced off against some tough opponents. Stella has continued her fantastic run of wins against even tougher opposition last week in Albury at the NSWPSSA Tennis Championships. As the second ranked player in the CIS team, Stella dropped only one match in over twenty she played throughout the week. Helping her team to the State Championship medal. A brilliant outcome for a hard working and unassuming athlete. Stella will have the chance to double up next year as she is still a Yr 5 student.
Hockey
Jess Van Extel, Iona Gait and Lauren Hill trialled for NSWCIS Girls Hockey this week and showed all at the trials that our Hockey Girls are not to be trifled with! Whilst none of the girls managed to make the final 13 selected, they each performed really strongly and displayed a great level skill set and fitness.
AFL
Good luck to Isaac Brooks and Gianmarco Pradel who take on NSW best schoolboy AFL footballers in the NSWPSSA Championships in Batemans Bay next week. The boys have been training hard and have had the pleasure of a guest training session with the GWS Giants at their training facility in a solid build up for the big tournament.
