Netball
Stella Simpson-Morgan, Mischa Fabig and Ava Mills all recently competed at the NSWCIS Netball Championships for the HICES team. The HICES Girls had their highest finish in recent times tying for second after the preliminary rounds. Ava Mills was selected into the possibles and probables selection game, but narrowly missed out on the NSWCIS team. The girls played extremely well, made a big contribution to the HICES success and had a great time meeting the NSW Swifts, who were patrons at the tournament. Pictured at top.
Redlands Netball teams return to the court this week, with some minor adjustments to draws after the NSNA regrade. Very few of our teams are affected and any changes will be communicated to teams directly via email as soon as they are available from NSNA. The NSNA website is also an excellent source of up to the minute information.
Hockey
Our Hockey girls matches have been rescheduled and both remaining matches this term will now be at 8.00am at Mollie Dive Field, Pymble Ladies College
NSWCIS Cross Country
Best of luck to Jeffrey and Daniel Benoliel, Landon Mansell and Krishna Gupta who will be running at NSWCIS Cross Country representing HICES as this edition is released. I look forward to bringing news of their achievements at this high level next week.
Winter Before School Training Schedule
For all trainings on the Junior School Oval, please use your own discretion in extreme rain and weather situations. Often parents and students will have left home to attend before we can make a realistic judgement on the weather. If there is no danger of lightning, nor heavy rain which would soak anyone training outdoors, our aim is to go ahead and run the session. Coaches and/or staff will be in attendance. It’s not always possible to find an alternative training venue, but students will be supervised until school begins in this circumstance.
