Rep Winter Sport
Unfortunately, the rain and wild weather played havoc with our Saturday Rep Sport once again last weekend. Only those matches scheduled to play on our Redlands Synthetic Oval were able to proceed which saw Year 3, 4 and 6 teams play in wet conditions in their last game of this season. The Football and Rugby teams in Term 3 will have their final 3 weeks of their regular season from Week 1 onwards.
The Redlands App caused some delays to families but after a review by the IT team this week we can confirm that our Redlands App was not the issue but rather clipboard (program that supplied data for schools fixtures) that got overloaded by the volume of requests from all schools logging in around the same time (6am – 8am), leading to failures. We were able to get an email out to all families with updates. Please note this type of email will only happen in rare situations like this, for all other cancellations we revert to automatic notifications through the Redlands App as our staff are out of the office.
Unfortunately for our Netball and Hockey teams their final round of their season was another cancellation. It is such a shame that some of our teams have only played two matches this season due to wet weather. Congratulations to those students who competed at various NSW Athletics events over the weekend in the wet and wild conditions.

Term 3 Redlands Mini-Olympics
When our Rep Rugby and Football season finishes their season on Saturday 10 August, all students from these teams will be automatically rolled over and enrolled to compete in Redlands Mini Olympics for the remainder of the term. Students from both codes have been divided into 8 countries and will play each other each Wednesday in a variety of Athletic events. Teams are mixed grades and each team has been allocated a country that they are representing. Teams were displayed at school and the students are very excited about the event. For your reference these can be viewed here: 2024 Redlands Olympics
Athletics Holiday Training Program ‘Student Take Home Pack’
I have put together a training plan aimed at those students who would not normally train leading up to our Junior Athletics Carnival which is scheduled for Wednesday 14 August. As you know training for Athletics and Cross Country takes place well in advance of the carnival itself.
You are under no obligation to use this training plan, it is a suggested resource we have put together for those families who want to work on carnival preparation over the upcoming school holidays and for the weeks leading up to our school carnival.
To download and or view this training it can be found under ‘Files’ on Pulse on the Athletics Page.
Please don’t hesitate to view our Sport Information page on Redlands Pulse if you have any questions pertaining to Sport.
