Summer Sport Photos
The family information package and link for our sport photos on Wednesday 1 November was shared with you earlier in the week.
Students should arrive at school at normal time for regular classes as well as sport that afternoon.
Please be aware that if your child’s name or team is listed in the run sheet then they will be required to attend the photos in their respective teams with the correct uniform and only those students listed are required to come down to the oval at the listed times.
Those students who are not needed in a representative sport photo are still required at school for normal classes and supervision before also going to Wednesday Sport.
Sport Extension Training
Now in our 4th week of extension training for our Summer Representative Teams, it has been very well attended from students across the 3 grades. As we now pivot to include conditioning for the first half of the session before matches in the second half, a reminder for students to bring a water bottle to that session. Can we also ask parents and guardians to collect their child at 4:30pm. Any student not collected at this time will be sent to after school care.
Sport Calendar
The sport calendar for Term 4 onwards is available online on Junior School Sport Page. You can also view it by selecting here.
Redlands App – Communication
In Term 4, all Redlands Sport Activities will continue to be through Pulse and the Redlands App. Here you will be able to see all activities, teams and groups your child is part of, all scheduled lessons and locations and receive instant push notifications for any changes or cancellations.
Representative Sport Student Absence
If students are absent on match day, parents are required to complete this online absence form. This will allow your responses to be passed on electronically to your child’s coach efficiently and at short notice. The Student Absence link can also be found on the Junior School Sport Page on Redlands Pulse.
Representative Sports – Saturday Morning Match Wear
Just a reminder for all families who represent Redlands in Saturday sport only Redlands Sports Uniforms and match day kit is to be worn. Each family should own either a school tracksuit and or a fleece that they can wear over the top of their playing kit if they are cold. Any incorrect item will now be confiscated as all students have received the same message.
Representative Sport Team Movement
In regard to representative sport and the movement of players across ability based teams, it is transparent for all parties as unexplained team movements sometimes cause unnecessary stress. At Redlands our teams are ‘fluid’, meaning teams may change from week to week depending on 3 main criteria:
ABILITY – in direct comparison to other students across the sport
ATTENDANCE – any student who misses 2 games in a season unrelated to sickness may be moved
ATTITUDE – this is based on behaviour at trainings, on game day and not limited to the sporting arena
Please don’t hesitate to view our Sport Information page on Redlands Pulse if you have any questions pertaining to Sport.
