Winter Sport – Rugby and Football
Congratulations to all our students who represented Redlands in either Football or Rugby in their final season match on Saturday. Thank you for allowing your child to be part of our Saturday Sport program as it is always great to see so many students loving their sport on a Saturday morning, despite the early starts and cold weather. Girls AFL continue their season for the next few weeks.

Welcome back to our returning students who played in these sports in Term 1 as we recommence our season from Round 6 through to 12 and also a special welcome and thank you to those students who signed up to play a Representative Sport in Term 4. You will be allocated to a team (Basketball and Rouch) or ranked in Tennis this term in preparation for next term.
Optional Student Attendance- Pre-Season Training
Those students who are playing a representative sport in Term 4 are encouraged to attend these optional skill sessions which will be offered on a Wednesday afternoon on site on the Junior School grounds taking place after school from 3:30pm-4:30pm.
This will allow those students who are in a Term 3 Rep or Non Rep sport to continue with their normal Term 3 sport with the option to join in when they get back to school. Sport uniform is fine for these sessions, no need for students to change.
After they return from their normal Wednesday sport, those students will have time to go to their classroom collect their bags and make their way to the venue if they wish to participate.
No registration is required for these sessions and parents/carers are asked to collect their child at 4:30pm sharp from either Dunnet Hall Allister St or from the Piazza inside the Junior School grounds.
Summer Pre Season sessions on a Wednesday will take place on Wednesday 13 September and Wednesday 20 September on site from 3:30pm-4:30pm.
Compulsory Student Attendance- Pre-Season Grading
Those students who are playing a representative sport in Term 4 will need to attend the final training and grading session on Saturday 16 September for Basketball, Touch Football, Tennis and Girls only Basketball. This is the only opportunity to finalise teams in preparation for IPSHA for Round 1 which takes place Term 4, Week 1.
If students fail to attend this grading session on Saturday 16 September, they will be placed in the lowest team to be assessed at a later stage once the season commences in Term 4.
Timings and venues can be viewed here Compulsory Representative Training Saturday 16 September
Students may wear their sports uniform to this session as Basketball Jerseys will be loaned out to them for the upcoming season once teams are selected.

Wednesday Sport Inability to Train
If your child has an injury that prevents them from training, please send through an email to Junior Sport juniorsport@redlands.nsw.edu.au requesting they ‘sit out’ of training for that particular session. We can then forward this to the relevant external coaching staff. Where applicable please include when they can return to normal training so coaches are aware of this. That way coaching staff are aware of an injury that prevents them from participating at the venue but also allows us to be aware of periods where they are medically required to ‘sit out’.
Sport Calendar
The sport calendar for Term 3 onwards is available online on Junior School Sport Page. You can also view it by selecting here; 2023 JS Sport Calendar
Representative Sport Student Absence
If students are absent on match day, parents are required to complete this online absence form. This will allow your responses to be passed on electronically to your child’s coach efficiently and at short notice. The Student Absence link can also be found on the Junior School Sport Page on Redlands Pulse.
Please don’t hesitate to view our Sport Information page on Redlands Pulse if you have any questions pertaining to Sport.
