Junior Sport
Round 1 Representative Sport
In very wet conditions we commenced our Winter Sport Fixtures for 2023. The majority of our fixtures were able to go ahead despite the weather and in Football we won 5 out of their 7 matches played at home. Well done to those students who played in their first representative team on Saturday. Special mention to two Year 4 students in particular who stayed behind after their 4A Football match and played for the 5A team who were short players due to sickness. Well done Hunter and Armaan. Similarly to Jonas in Year 6 who arrived a game earlier to help the team who were playing before his match.
Both our Year 5&6 Hockey teams recorded a win and represented Redlands in both commitment and sportsmanship. Students who were nominated by their coaches across all Winter Sports as ‘best on ground’ will receive their certificates at our next assembly. Some reminders for both families and students;
- If your child is sick night before or morning of please complete the online absence form through Pulse so their coach is aware of it and can make modifications.
- Please be in correct playing kit and at the venue 30min prior to kick off time
- Please allow time for travel and parking as Saturday morning traffic for both club and school sport has been compared to midweek peak hour traffic.
- Let’s continue to create a culture of thanks, students to individually thank their coaches before their departure after the post-game huddle.
