2022 Gymnastics
Thank you to all those families who attend the open day up at Aussie Gems Facility on Saturday. An notification with next steps was sent to you on Monday. Please refer to that for more details for those of you who missed out please feel free to view some of the morning highlights on this video.
HICES Cross Country
On Tuesday our Junior team travelled to Scots All Saints in Bathurst to compete in the HICES Cross Country Carnival in rain free crisp conditions. All our runners are to be commended on their efforts both in the lead up to the day with training but also on the day while they ran and supporting others when they were not running. Special mention was made of Owen Beck (Year 5) who stopped to go back and help a team mate who had fallen at the start. A short highlight video can be viewed here.
The following students qualified in the top 10 in their age groups and as such now represent HICES at the CIS Cross Country in two week’s time. We wish them the best of luck as they prepare for the carnival.

Summer and Winter Rep Sport Photos
As you would be aware our Summer and Winter Representative Team Photos take place next week on Wednesday 1 June for all Junior School students. In the same format as last year both Term 1 Summer Representative Teams and our Term 2 Winter Representative team photos will take place on the same day commencing at 8:30am. Please be aware that if you child has represented the school (playing matches on Saturdays) in either a Summer or Winter Sport then they will be required to attend the photos in their respective teams. Those students who are not needed in a representative sport photo are still required at school for normal classes and supervision before also going to Wednesday Sport. Our normal Wednesday Sport program will take place as normal that afternoon.
Snowsports
As we begin to prepare for the upcoming season Redlands has been involved in competitive Snowsports for many years and has won numerous awards at the national level for individual events and as a school. We are committed to prepare our students to ride and ski safely and competently to enjoy this wonderful lifelong family sport. To race, students need to confidently ski or snowboard on all blue runs.
The program commences with the start of the winter school holiday and if your children are keen to compete, they can enter the Redlands Cup followed by the Sydney Interschools Championships. Children can compete in a wide variety of ski and snowboard events with Redlands offering specialist training (Y1-12) for participants.
