IPSHA Sports

Redlands teams in IPSHA competitions play their final matches this weekend.

There are a few minor changes to the original schedule:
Yr 4 Red Football now play on Field D at Shore playing fields, Northbridge at 8.45am
Yr 4 Blue Football now play on Field D at Shore playing fields, Northbridge at 8.00am
Yr 3 Red Football now play Knox at Ireland Field, Knox Prep Campus at 9.30am
Yr 3 Blue Football now play at Koola Park, East Killara at 8.15am

NSNA Netball

Redlands 14 dropped a tight game last week but are showing some serious improvement. Battling to within two points, the girls are really coming into their own.

Football

Our footballers wrap up their season this weekend at away venues. It was very pleasing to watch our Yr 3 and 4 footballers playing at Macquarie University last weekend. Our Yr 3 teams play with such tremendous heart, it’s hard to take your eyes off. The Red team won comfortably, despite being wasteful in front of goal. Yr 4 teams took on Trinity and both had great wins, playing attacking Football with some real flair.

Rugby

Two weeks in a row on long bus trips for our Rugby boys has seen the two best matches of the season! Tudor House got the shock of their lives when our boys burst out of the blocks in a windy and freezing Moss Vale. Despite going down by just two tries, the lads enter their last match against Trinity in high spirits, showing huge improvement in their two matches so far this term. Our Sevens team split their matches with a win and a loss and if they can tighten up their tackling, they will go a long way to winning both in this week’s final round.

Athletics Carnival

Cowper took out the Junior School Athletics Carnival for their fifth consecutive year! In contrast to last year’s deluge, this year’s Carnival played out in amazing Sydney Winter weather which had all of our students jumping onto the track to compete in record numbers. Cowper again managed the participation best, dominating and winning by almost 200 points. Congratulations to our Age Champions and Runners Up and to all athletes selected for the Redlands team. The Redlands team members are posted on the noticeboard and will go on to represent Redlands at the HICES Carnival on 28 August.

We love photos and showing off your great action shots from Sports fixtures on Saturday. If anyone has any pics or takes any, I love to use them to showcase our current teams and past teams on the rolling display in Dunnet Hall. Please send me the pics, or a link or even pop them in on a USB (it will be returned) to the Sports Office.
