IPSHA Sports

IPSHA Sport recommences this weekend and we have a few minor alterations for game times and venues.
6A football now at 10.15am on University Oval, Macquarie Uni Playing Fields
6B football now at 9.30am on University Oval, Macquarie Uni Playing Fields
6C football now at 10.15am on University Oval, Macquarie Uni Playing Fields
Yr 3 Red football match is now on Old Boys Oval in the Newington Senior Campus at 8am

Snowsports

There were some amazing results from the Snowy Mountains over the holidays, with over 500 competitors involved in the Redlands Cup and some 44 Redlands teams qualifying to represent at the NSW Snowsports Championships next month. There was tremendous feeling around the Redlands team on the mountain and it was wonderful to see the camaraderie and team spirit shown across the whole mountain to the competitors in the Blue and Gold!

NSNA Netball

Our Netball teams launch back into action this week and with all of our teams in the thick of the fight for Semi Final spots, it’s sure to be exciting times at Willoughby on a Friday night.

AFL

Our AFL boys put in a remarkably courageous last match last term going down to Knox’s top team, but pushing them all the way with courage and commitment. This week’s match has moved. The boys now take on Trinity at Mahoney Park, Marrickville at 8am.

Rugby

Our Rugby boys face a road trip this week, taking on Central Coast Grammar at their Campus at Erina Heights at 9am. The players bus will depart from Allister Street gates at 7.30am.

Term 4 Sports Selections

Keep an eye on your email for Summer Sport selections. Summer Sport commences in the final weeks of this term and we’re giving everyone the opportunity to re-select for Summer. Some sports have limited numbers due to safety and facilities and will be first in best dressed! We are again using the Trybooking online system, please ensure that if you have more than one child in the Junior School that you book each child in individually.

Athletics Carnival 

The Junior School Athletics Carnival is approaching fast and will be held on Wednesday 8 August at Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre and students across Yrs 2-6 are steadily working on developing their technique across the range of track and field events during PE classes in the lead up to the Carnival.

If anyone has any pics or takes any, I love to use them to showcase our current teams and past teams on the rolling display in Dunnet Hall. Please send me the pics, or a link or even pop them in on a USB (it will be returned) to the Sports Office.
