JUNIOR SPORT Redlands Pulse
Week 8
As our Netball and Hockey teams have come to the end of their season, we congratulate them on their performance and sportsmanship. The 6B team, coached by Heidi Moore went through their season undefeated with the following wins over their opposition;
Round 1 Win 12-1
Round 2 Win 9-0
Round 3 Win 21-0
Round 4 Win 17-2
Round 5 Win 13-0
Round 6 Win 21-1
Round 7 Win 21-9
Special mention to the 6A and 5A Netball team who only had 1 loss each all season. While these results are great, they are not the be all and end all. Feedback from the coaches of all our netball teams this season were that the girls were keen to improve each week, were focused at training and as a result they achieved success.
CIS Touch Football
Congratulations to Charlie Reeves (Yr 6) who was selected in the CIS Boys touch side. Charlie trialed with Dany Gordon and George Andrews, who were nominated to attend the trials based on their school touch season. We wish Charlie the best of luck when he competes at the NSW PSSA Touch Football Championships next term.
Wednesday Sport Weeks 1-3
Normal Wednesday Winter Sport resumes on Wednesday 14 July. If you need a reminder as to what your child has selected for their Winter Sport choice as well as team selections please refer to the Term 3 Winter Sport lists. These sports will continue until the end of term with the exception of Rugby and Football which will end Wednesday 28 July. For timings and venues for all Wednesday sport please refer to the Winter Sport Training Schedule. Please remember if you are picking up your child directly from the venue you must be there before the returning bus leaves for the journey back to school. All sports this term will finish and return students back to school at regular finish time of 3:20pm, traffic dependent.
Wet Weather
In the case of wet weather on a Wednesday, updates will be posted on our Wet Weather Pulse page. If you pick your child up directly at the venue, please refer to this page prior to going to ensure that they are at the venue. Alternative plans may have been made depending on the location and provider. All students will be available for pick up at 3:20pm from Redlands Junior School regardless of the weather.

Key Dates and Calendar
On the Junior Sport Pulse Page we display upcoming Key Dates for each Term. This has already been updated for Term 3. Just below that on the Pulse page we also have a Sport Calendar that has a more comprehensive view of Sport for this term. If you have any questions about what is on and when, please refer to these documents before contacting us.
Term 3 Winter Representative Sport
With the Hockey and Netball Season coming to a close this Term we now commence Girls AFL as part of our Winter Sport Representative Program. Those families who have nominated for Girls AFL would have received a separately email with all their season information at this term. For all other Term 2 Football and Rugby teams you are continuing your season with 3 more rounds to go.
Wednesday Sport Weeks 4-7 for Rugby and Football teams
Beginning Wednesday 4 August and running through to Wednesday 25 August those students who have completed their Football and Rugby season will be involved in a 4-week multisport competition. This will take place in school hours in venues both on and off site. More details will be available to those students shortly.
Representative Sport Team Lists
For weekly team selections please refer to the Term 3 Winter Sport team lists. These will be updated on Pulse following each fixture. Please remember that our Redlands Representative teams are fluid, meaning teams may change week to week depending on 3 main criteria: Ability, Attendance and Attitude. Any team movements will be discussed with your child by their coach.
Draw
The Term 3 Draw for the remaining rounds of Football and Rugby along with the girls AFL draw is now available. Please note this is a new link so please delete any old draws you may have saved in on your device. You can view it here and save to your phone/device- 2021 Term 2&3 Winter Draw. As it is live and subject to change, please do not print off the draw. We recommend checking back each Friday evening to ensure you have the correct time and venue for the following morning. There may be occasions where host schools change a time or location midweek and when this occurs the draw will be updated. For Rugby families, as per the email that was sent to you end of last term, your fixtures are released by IPSHA (Sporting Association that we belong too) on Thursday each week so your times and opposition will remain blank until then.
