I’d like to share some exciting news! Two of our talented students, Andy Guan (Year 9) and Sophie Wong (Year 7), reached the semi-finals of the United Nations Youth Voice competition last Friday.

Sophie Wong has advanced to the final round and will present at NSW Parliament this Friday. She’ll deliver a prepared speech on addressing the negative impacts of large-scale industrial agriculture while ensuring adequate food supply. Sophie will also showcase her public speaking skills by answering impromptu questions in front of a large audience.

Congratulations to both Andy and Sophie on their outstanding efforts, and best of luck to Sophie for the finals!

Moonbah – Gearing up for Growth Evening

On Monday night we welcomed our Year 8 students and parents to our Moonbah Gearing up for Growth Evening.  It was wonderful to introduce our High Country Campus Leadership Team, share the finer details of the Learning Program and explore the skills and dispositions the students will develop when they move to Moonbah to living in community and on country with each other. After a presentation in Redlands Hall led by Mr Corcoran, Ms Rolon and Mr Atkins, students and parents were able to mingle with a range of staff and Year 10 and 12 students in the Redlands Learning Hub to learn more about ‘the essentials’, ‘the learning program’ and how to ‘live in community’.

Since the presentations, the Moonbah Program page on Pulse has been updated. I invite all students and parents to visit this Pulse page and learn more about the inaugural program commencing in 2025.

Senior Campus Open Morning

Over 250 prospective parents and students toured our campus on Wednesday morning this week. Year 9 student acted as tour guides and ambassadors for Sport, Dance and Drama on the Fahl Garden.

The visitors remarked the maturity of our Year 9 students, praising their warm welcome and the articulate way they spoke about Redlands and their experiences of learning. Mr Corcoran and I were very proud of Year 9 and the way they admirably represented the School.

Library Magazine – Roseby Review

The Library staff are excited to announce their first edition of the Roseby Review magazine. This quarterly magazine is packed with articles, creative writing, book reviews and thought-provoking features that will spark curiosity and inspire readers of all ages. Whether you’re a fan of literature, current events, or exploring new ideas, The Roseby Review has something for everyone. Think: reading for recreation, research for education and everything in-between.

Redlands Community Carols
