Study Centre – Take Off!

Our Year 7 to 11 Study Centre commenced this week and students across the Secondary School have taken all opportunities to make effective use of the space for study purposes. Below is an image of a range of students utilising the Library Space at lunchtime on Wednesday. As well as homelearning activities, students also played chess and engaged in wide reading. We welcomed a new Library Administrator to the Roseby Library Team this week. Dr Lauren Alice, trained teacher and literary researcher, will be working 11.00am to 7.00pm Monday to Thursday, overseeing and supporting Year 7 to 11 students with study and assessment preparation.

Our Illuminate Scholars Program Commences in Week 5 this Term

Our new Illuminate Scholars program offers students the opportunity to engage in home learning activities and assessment preparation in an academically supported environment, with learner-centred academic coaching.

To book your child’s place in this program, please visit the Illuminate Scholars Program Pulse Page here.

Anglican Student Leader Commissioning

Our Year 12 Portfolio Captains attended the Anglican Schools Student Leader Commissioning last Thursday 8 February at St Andrews Cathedral.  They were accompanied by Mr Corcoran, Ms Philips (Chaplain), and Ms Ynson (Year Advisor).

Activities Fair

We held our Activities fair last Thursday.  It was wonderful to see so many students signing up for our club offerings this year.

All the clubs are up and running this week.  Information about clubs can be found on Redlands Pulse (Secondary School Cocurricular) and news and announcements will be updated on the Pulse page throughout the year. The clubs are a great opportunity for students to discover a passion area, develop skills of collaboration across age ranges and build relationships skills.

International Women’s Day

Our Year 12 student leaders led their first Assembly with Stage 6 this Tuesday. As well as a bit of fun with some amusing announcements (Conor Petersen and Anderson Boris told some dad-level jokes about the environment and our new bees), they also led a panel ahead of larger International Women’s Day festivities. A range of students and staff members expressed their appreciation of IWD, talked about what this year’s theme meant to them and shared their experiences of equity and advantage. Kudos to Antonia Morgan and Will Algar who have organised the panels and prepared the speakers.

A team of amazing Redlands women have been planning for an exciting IWD Event this year and we strongly encourage you to come along to this ticketed breakfast event.

Redlands Child Safeguarding Policy

We are pleased to share our new Redlands Child Safeguarding Policy, which replaces our previous Child Protection Policy.

The development of this policy follows the release of the new Redlands Statement of Commitment to Child Safeguarding last year, that highlighted our commitment to act in the best interests of students and promote their wellbeing and to provide safe and inclusive environments where our students feel they belong, are supported and can thrive.

You can view our new Child Safeguarding Policy here.
