Head of Preparatory School
‘It costs nothing to be kind’ is the consistent message again this term in Prep School. In this busy time of the year where commercialism can overtake the true meaning of Christmas and conversations become centred around ‘what do you want for Christmas’, we will be continuing to spread the message of love and kindness in the Prep School.
You may have noticed the new kindness box that proudly sits at the Prep Reception desk, it is filling quickly with messages of kindness from students to each other which Mrs Clinton reads out every Tuesday morning. I love watching the students eagerly writing their messages and watching their faces as their messages get read out. It is such an authentic way to demonstrate the joy that we feel when we are kind and give to others, especially around celebration times.
If you are walking through reception, please have a read of the kindness messages that are starting to fill our walls, they will fill you with joy.

K-6 Strings Concert
This week we were treated to end of year performances by ensembles from our Strings program (K-6) and from our Music Instrumental Program. These concerts provided a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the progress our young musicians have made. From mastering new pieces to performing with increased confidence, it was pleasing to see how far they have come. The concerts were not just about showcasing skill; they also allowed students to experience the joy of expressing themselves through music. We thoroughly enjoyed their hard work and enthusiasm, and we are grateful to our music department and instrumental teachers for nurturing this growth, and to our families for their ongoing support.
Term 4 Dates for Prep School Students
As the term starts to get busy, can I please remind families to keep an eye on the school calendar that can be found on Pulse. If there are any questions related to any event, please don’t hesitate to email Ms Pontes or myself for clarification.

Learning Plus are Looking for Volunteers
Learning Plus (support) are looking for volunteers with weekday availability and a desire to contribute regularly to the Redlands student community working with Y7-12.
We need calm and confident community members who understand confidentiality. We need writers (scribes) and readers. You need to have legible handwriting and the ability to communicate in English.

Our volunteers find this a rewarding activity and a fantastic way to support students at Redlands.
We need volunteers to start training now!
Contact sprovisions@redlands.nsw.edu.au to express your interest or request more information.
Uniform Shop
Holiday Opening Hours
The Uniform Shop will close at 4pm on Friday 6 December and reopen on Monday 13 January.
Bookings Online Now Available
Uniform appointments for 2025 are now open for students requiring a uniform fitting. We recommend students who need to purchase the new uniform come in for a fitting to determine their correct size. Please click HERE to make an appointment before the end of term or in January. You can also book online through the Uniform Shop page on Redlands Pulse.
Recycling Old Uniforms
As many students are now transitioning into the new uniform, you may have unwanted items that require recycling. I’m pleased to advise there will be a recycling collection in Week 6 with further details coming soon. The RPFA are accepting donations of sports uniforms and old blazers in good condition. These maybe dropped to the Uniform Shop during opening hours.
If you have any questions regarding uniforms or booking an appointment, please contact us on 9968 9850 or email uniformorders@redlands.nsw.edu.au
