Morning and Afternoon Car Lines
Can I please ask and remind families who use Allister Street for dropping off and picking up children, that they must not park and leave their car in the pick-up/ drop off zone that operates 7.30am- 9am and between 2.30pm- 4pm.
Parking your car and leaving it to walk your child into the campus is causing congestion and creating situations that could potentially compromise the safety of our students. We strongly encourage Prep families to use the morning and afternoon ‘car park carline’ where staff are on hand to help your child in and out of cars. Junior School families can also access this in the mornings.
Senior staff will be on hand over the next period to assist the smooth operation of the car line and we have also requested enhanced Ranger presence at these times.
PreKindergarten and Redlands House Drop Off and Pick Up
PreK
A PreK staff member will be stationed outside Pep Reception on Allister Street between 8am-8.20am each morning for those PreK parents who would like to use the Allister St drop zone in the mornings. PreK families can also use the morning car line for drop off if they have an older sibling to walk them to their room.
Redlands House
Redlands House parents are permitted to park for 5 minutes outside of Redlands House in the designated time frame displayed. Please adhere to this as prolonged parking creates congestion, double parking and confusion with prep school car line which starts at 2.45am.
A Redlands House staff member will be present out the front of Redlands House each morning and afternoon to assist with this over the next period of time.
Prep Music News
A Message from Ms Moses and Mr Owen
It was wonderful to hear our musicians resume private lessons on the Preparatory Campus this week.
Next week, rehearsals for our two Prep Music Ensembles will commence – Prep Choir and Prep Strings. It’s not too late to enrol! Please visit the Junior Campus Music Pulse page to find the cocurricular enrolment form for 2024.
Rehearsal times:
- Prep Strings: Monday 7:45-8:15am
- Prep Choir: Friday 7:45-8:15am
Private instrumental lessons will be resuming this week as well.
Daily Routine Reminders
Post 8.20am arrival
2024 Prep School routines are well on their way to running smoothly and a big thank you to families for following our processes and procedures. If you do arrive after 8.20am, please drop your child at Prep reception where Ms Pontes will enter their time of arrival and take them to their class.
Reusable Canteen Containers
The Junior Campus will be trialling reusable canteen containers to reduce our waste and carbon footprint. The successful implementation of this initiative will reduce over 13,000 litres of waste going to landfill. To begin this transition, we will start the process off slowly to ensure for a smoother transition for students, with only some lunch orders being delivered in reusable containers. When students have finished their lunch, they will take their empty container back to the labelled tubs outside the canteen. It is an expectation these containers will be returned, however; to begin this journey there will be various incentives put in place to returns to occur.
Redlands Photo Days
Redlands school photo days are across the following dates:
- Prep School: Thursday 14 March
- Junior School: Friday 15 March
- Senior Campus Sibling Photos: Week 3, Wednesday 14 February, 7:15am – 8:15am – Redlands Hall
- Junior Campus Sibling Photos: Week 7, Friday 15 March, 7:00am – 7:45am – Dunnet Hall Foyer
For parents with children across both Secondary and Junior/Prep School who would like sibling photos, we welcome you to attend either Sibling Photo day on Wednesday 14 February on Senior Campus, or Friday 15 March on Junior Campus.
As we are in a transition phase for the new school uniform, Prep students are to wear which ever option they come to school in on this day as well. There is no need to buy any additional pieces.
