Head of Preparatory School
Happy Holidays
As we come to the close of a wonderful first semester and head into a well-earned winter break, I would like to wish the Redlands Prep Community a restful and pleasant holiday. Safe journeys to those families using the time to travel, and peace and quiet for everyone remaining in the Sydney sunshine.
Term 3 will begin for students on Tuesday 18 July and I will be returning to school at the beginning of Week 2. Dean of Students, Mrs Katie-Louise Clinton, will be your first point of contact for any queries during Week 1.
Happy holidays and I look forward to seeing you all next term.
Staffing News
We bid our precious Mrs Hunt farewell tomorrow and we wish her all the best as she begins new adventures. We have had a wonderful week of saying our goodbyes and a special thanks to all the parents who came to our Prep Assembly on Tuesday afternoon. Claire was very moved and so loved all the messages and well wishes from all parts of the community.

Reports and Learning Conversations
Families will be emailed a notification next week when Semester One reports are ready to be viewed in Pulse. With changes to the NSW English and Mathematics curriculum you may notice some small adjustments to the format of your child’s report. All key learning areas will now be reported on using the 5-point scale as outlined in the letter here, which is also available on Pulse.
If you would like any further information about our Early Stage 1 and Stage 1 Outcomes (Kindy, Year 1 and Year 2) they are outlined in the curriculum documents found on the NESA website here.
To facilitate an opportunity to discuss the reports and ‘where to next’ for you child, Learning Conversations with your classroom teacher will take place face to face in Week 3 of next term (Monday 31 July – Friday 4 August).
When can I book a time?
Time slots will be 15-minutes. At Redlands, we use School Interviews, an online booking system, which allows you to make multiple bookings for your Preparatory School child(ren) at one time.
