Prep Tennis Stars!
On Saturday night, Kathleen Chan, Anna Krapovnitskaya, Josh Ward, and Zandre Coussy took part in the Northern Suburbs Tennis Association (NSTA) Primary Schools Challenge representing Redlands!
Even though Kathleen and Anna played very well, they could not get the gold this time. Josh and Zandre won all their 5 games and finished 1st in their group!
We are all so proud of our Yr 2 Tennis players and so impressed with all the training that went into preparing for this event.
Yr 2 Learning about Thanksgiving Tradition
Our Yr 2 cohort enjoyed learning about the American tradition of Thanksgiving this week. We were so grateful to Mrs Mast who explained the meaning of Thanksgiving by reading us a book about the pilgrims, shared pictures of special food that is eaten at this time and most importantly, learnt that it is a special time to be grateful for so many things that we have in our lives.
To finish off a lovely afternoon, the children then made their own gratitude turkey decoration. Thanks so much Mrs Mast for coming and sharing such an important tradition with us all.
Christmas at Redlands
Next Tuesday we are celebrating Christmas in our Junior Campus Carols (student only event)
To get into the Christmas spirit and raise funds for Anglicare Toys ‘n’ Tucker, all students and staff can wear Christmas mufti next Tuesday and bring a donation.
Remember to be sun and shoe safe ready for recess and lunch play.
Ideas for Christmas Mufti:
- As simple as wearing “Christmas Colours”
- Santa hat or other Christmas decorations
- Christmas shirt
- Angel, Nativity costume
- Christmas character
Anglicare Toys n Tucker

The gifts at Prep Reception for Anglicare are testament to the giving nature of Redlands families. Thank you for your generous support, the children are enjoying being part of this important service to the wider Sydney community.
If you would still like to be involved, please bring your gifts and food items at the very latest by Tuesday November 6. Please remember to make sure all items are new and remain sealed.
RATs Available
With the recent increase in COVID-19 cases in the wider community, we are closely monitoring COVID-19 positive cases here at Redlands. Pleasingly, as of yet, we have not seen a significant increase in cases in students or staff; however, we will continue to monitor and communicate any updates as necessary.
To help protect our community, we will be offering Rapid Antigen Tests to any families who would like to pick up additional tests. Parents or students can collect up to 2 boxes of Rapid Antigen Tests from their Section’s Reception. Rapid Antigen Tests will be available for collection from Friday morning and through all of next week.
