Staffing News
We are thrilled to announce that Ms Mu Sung is expecting her first child later this year and will be taking maternity leave mid Term 3. We will be recruiting for her maternity leave replacement next term.
We say farewell to Ms Gordon tomorrow and we wish her well as she starts her new chapter. We welcome Mrs Lee-Anne Thomson to 2 Red who has recently moved to Sydney from the Northern Territory. Lee-Anne has over 20 years of teaching experience across Junior Schools in the Northern Territory and Western Australia and we are very excited to welcome her to Prep. Mrs Thomson will be communicating to 2R families at the start of Term 2 and will be organising a time for the 2R parents to come and meet her.
International Day
What an amazing International Day today as we celebrated our students’ 52 different international backgrounds. The Prep School was awash with a multitude of colours from national costumes,
Happy Easter

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all our Prep families and carers a very Happy Easter and to enjoy a break from routine. It has been wonderful to have had a full term of face-to-face classes and to also have welcomed parents back into classrooms for specific events.
I would also like to thank our families for supporting the Prep School by following our COVID safety guidelines this term. This has certainly kept our students and staff safe but also ensured we have been able to keep teaching face-to-face.
Term 2 Dates and Reminders
The first day of Term 2 is Wednesday 27 April. Students are to return to school in their winter uniform please. The winter uniform requirements can be found in the Student Planner and on Pulse, parents can also ring the uniform shop to find ask any specific details.
Please note that stockings for the girls are to be grey only. Girls can also wear knee high white socks if they prefer. To keep warm, the children wear their Redlands navy v-neck jumper and blazer, Redlands navy scarfs can also be worn. Please note the fleece top is to be worn with PE uniform only.
I cannot stress enough the importance of labelling every piece of your child’s clothing, especially in the winter months where jumpers and blazers are often taken off. If we see a label, we can return a piece of clothing directly.
Thanks to all families who have ensured lunch boxes are placed inside their child’s bag each day. This has been very helpful and as a result we have noticed a reduction in tripping and falling incidents occurring.
Can I please ask that on return to school that every child brings a mask in their bag as students will continue to be required to wear their mask in Assembly and Chapel times next term.
Uniform Shop Holiday Opening Hours
The Uniform Shop will be open on Monday 11 April and Tuesday 26 April during the upcoming school holidays from 8am – 4pm. Appointments can be made by clicking HERE.
