Remembrance Day
On Remembrance Day this week, Junior Campus students (P-6) gathered to honour the service of the men and women from our defence forces who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. In a short ceremony, we reflected on the courage and dedication shown by those who have served, both past and present. Our students listened respectfully, and together we paid our respects, ensuring their legacy is remembered.
2025 Student Orientation – Friday 15 November
Tomorrow, as part of their orientation process into Redlands, we will welcome over fifty new students who will be joining the school in 2025. I know that our current students will warmly welcome their soon-to-be peers. For part of the day, Yrs 2, 3, 4 and 5 also move to the grade that they will be in next year. This will allow them some time to enjoy activities with the current grade teachers, new students, and begin to get a feel of new learning spaces and expectations.
Preparing Yr 6 for Secondary School
Also, tomorrow our Yr 6 students will enjoy a full day in the Secondary School as part of their transition, an important day for them ahead of their move into Yr 7 in 2025. For any Yr 6 student not continuing at Redlands, a normal day of learning will take place on our campus.
Christmas At Redlands
From Ms McKenzie, our Junior Campus Chaplain
This year at Redlands we are going to be having several opportunities to share in the joy of Christmas.
Junior Campus Carols and A Touch of Christmas Mufti Day
Junior Campus Carols for students K – 6 will be held at 9am Tuesday 26 November in Dunnet Hall.
To celebrate and have a final fund raise to support Wayside Chapel Christmas appeal students are invited to wear “a touch” of Christmas to our Carol service and bring a donation for collection. Students should wear their school unform but can accessorise; for example, they can wear a hat, some tinsel, a head band or bracelets, anything that has a Christmas colour. Please note that Junior School students need to change into their school uniform at lunch ready for their special sports award ceremony in the afternoon.
Help Redlands Junior Campus achieve the goal set by our Junior School Captains of raising the most funds in a year by a school for the important work of Wayside Chapel.
Anglicare Toy’s ‘n’ Tucker
Another opportunity to give is our annual Toy’s ‘n’ Tucker giving for Anglicare. Bring your gifts to one of the receptions by Monday 2 December. Gift ideas can be found here.
Uniform Recycling Week
Next week Redlands will be having a Uniform Recycling Week where students will have the opportunity to bring in their old uniform items for recycling. Large uniform recycling bins will be placed outside the Junior School Reception and outside the Student Services Office.

Please ensure that only the items above/below are brought in for recycling. Other items, such as shorts and shirts, can be sent to your local charity shop for reuse.
