JUNIOR SCHOOL UPCOMING EVENTS
Car Line Arrival Time
As communicated previously, Junior School parents using the car line pick up option facilitated by our staff must not arrive before 3.15pm and as close to 3.20pm or thereafter. This is even more vital as our Preparatory School reverts back to pre-COVID departure times meaning that their final Year Group will depart from the Prep car line at 3.10pm.
I implore all parents to take notice of this important safety request.
Redlands App Goes Live
We were pleased to launch the Redlands app for parents this week which parents would have received information about. The app will provide a quick and easy connection with the School for all of the important information our community seeks – contact information, term dates, events, sports fixtures, school and absentee notices, and other key links – all from the palm of your hand. It also allows parents to subscribe to specific groups of interest without having to see information that may not be of interest to you. The app will be enhanced as the year unfolds and we look forward to receiving your feedback through the continuing development process. For feedback on the Redlands app or support in downloading it, please email here.

Junior School Learning Review Meetings
I am very pleased to confirm that the Junior School Learning Review Meetings in Week 8 (15-19 March) will allow parents to come on campus out of school hours to meet with your child’s teacher in person to review their learning and progress so far this year. A letter will be emailed tomorrow (Friday) to all families with online booking instructions as well as our COVID-safe guidelines. Bookings will open at 8.00pm next Monday 8 March and remain open until 5.00pm on Thursday 11 March.
Clean Up Australia Day
Thanks to Yr 6 student, Chloe Petering, who has championed Redlands involvement in this year’s Clean Up Australia Day on Sunday 7 March between 12.00-2.00pm. The School has registered a site at Balmoral Beach with families asked to meet at the rotunda at 11.50pm. To support this day, please click here. Equipment such as bags and gloves have been sent to the School but attending families may wish to bring their own.
Balmoral Swim for Cancer Schools Relay Challenge
Redlands has registered to compete in this year’s Balmoral Swim for Cancer Schools Relay Challenge taking place on Sunday 21 March at Balmoral Beach. Whilst primarily or secondary-aged swimmers, the race is open to Yr 6 if students in this Year Group wish to enter a team.
How it works:
- Each team has four swimmers
- Each swimmer swims a leg of the relay 200m
- Participants can swim in their school year category or an older category
- Entry cost are $15 for each swimmer
The Schools Relay Challenge is a community-based initiative where schools help raise funds for the Children’s Cancer Institute, increase awareness of this important cause and importantly have fun participating in an open water swim relay.
There is also an opportunity for families to donate here as we raise money for this worthwhile cause.
April Vacation Care
If you would like your child to attend the April Vacation Care program, please visit the OOSH page on Redlands Pulse from Monday 8 March in order to preview all information pertaining to the holiday activity schedule and daily requirements.
The Flexischools website will be open for bookings on Friday 12 March from 12.00pm. Please use the Prep and Junior Vacation Care icon for children in K-6. If you have any vacation or after School Care queries, please contact our OOSH Coordinator, Trinetta Newbond.
