From the Principal
We are all working on creative ways to connect this year and it has been wonderful to note the RPFA initiative to provide an online Fun Family Trivia afternoon, which will be held on Sunday 20 September from 4.30-6.00pm. It will be a fun event and provide an entertaining way to connect with each other. Bookings can be made here.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching the Junior School House Football competition last Saturday and seeing the House spirit on display. Whilst we obviously have some very talented footballers in the School, it was most encouraging to see students playing for the first time and trying a new activity. My thanks to Mr Dunne and our Football coaches who made the day possible.
The recent Year 12 HSC Art Exhibition was most impressive in terms of the creativity displayed, as well as the depth of personal reflection, wisdom and preceptive analysis of the concepts explored. Whilst it is not the same as being present, I know that parents would have appreciated being able to view the exhibition online. To experience the Virtual Tour, please click here. If you hover over the green/white circle in each space, a video of the student will appear to provide an insight into their art-making practice. We are also looking forward to the upcoming Year 12 IB Art Exhibition.
As I write this article, I have just been asked by the Prefect group to record a message for the upcoming R U OK Day assembly that they are leading. Our leaders have inspired me this year, as they have continued to look beyond their own needs, and thoughtfully planned how they can make a positive impact on the student body.
I again encourage all parents and carers to please complete the strategic planning survey that you would have received via email. The last day to complete the survey is this Friday 4 September. My thanks to all who have taken the time to provide this important feedback.
Mr Stephen Webber
