From the Principal

Welcome back to all students and families and a very warm welcome to the new families who have joined our Redlands community from local schools, India and the Netherlands.

There has been significant progress on the construction of our New Learning Hub over the past few months. Internal partitions are now being installed in all four levels, along with the installation of windows on Level 2, as depicted in the following photographs.

The project is on track for the New Learning Hub to be ready for classes from the commencement of Term 3 next year.

If you have any questions about our redevelopment project, please email masterplan@redlands.nsw.edu.au.

There was a lot of work done during the two week vacation, not only on the major building site.

Also many of our Year 12 students took advantage of having the Library open for them to come and study together as they prepare for their exams, with the HSC having started today. Teachers and Library staff were helping with marking practice essays and collaboration among the students was also very evident as they shared knowledge and understanding. Next week will be the final attendance week for our IB students before they make final preparations for their examinations.

This week our Year 11 students have been enjoying their final School Camp at our High Country Campus. A theme at this Camp is the leadership which we want all our Seniors to show in their final year of school which sets a strong example to the younger students and builds a positive, productive and supportive school culture.

Parents and carers should have this week received a link to the Perspectives Survey and we thank those of you who have already submitted your responses. I encourage all families to respond to this survey. It is the first time Redlands has run such a survey across the entire school, and your responses will provide valuable feedback for us about Redlands, and provide useful data to help inform our future direction. If you have any questions or difficulties please contact our Deputy Principal, Sarah McGarry. This survey will remain open for responses until next Friday 25 October.

Summer Sports competitions commence this weekend and I wish all teams a happy and successful season.
