From the Principal

Last night we had a wonderful Valedictory Dinner for our Yr 12 students and their families, culminating a week of events for them as their journey at Redlands is coming to a close. It has been a special time of fun, reflection, nostalgia and celebration for the Class of 2023.

As I was Head of Secondary School in 2018 when many of them commenced Yr 7, I have been fortunate to be a part of their journey and have seen them grow and mature into fine young adults of character and substance who are “life-ready” for the world that awaits them after school.

At yesterday’s Final Assembly, I highlighted the significant impact they have had on Redlands and our school community this year. We all know the challenges and the disruptions we have faced over the past few years due to the pandemic, and 12 months ago, when they were stepping in as the new leaders of the School, we were only just beginning to get back to a sense of normal.

However, over these past 12 months, they have been exemplary role models and led the School with authenticity, vulnerability and a positive school spirit, embodied in their motto, “Fall Forward”.

They have ensured, through their many and varied activities, performances and assemblies, that the unique Redlands culture and sense of community of which we are so proud, has not only continued and been passed on to current students, but has been further enhanced through their positive engagement this year.

So, Class of 2023, thank you, for not only “leaving it better than you found it”, but for also leaving a legacy for future students to aim to live up to and strive to emulate for years to come.

Our Kindergarten to Year 11 students gave a very heartfelt farewell to the Class of 2023 with a Guard of Honour highlighted in this video, as Year 12 made their final journey through the Junior and Senior Campuses yesterday.

It has been a wonderful Term 3 at Redlands with many different activities and events allowing our students to shine in so many different ways. I hope students and families enjoy the break ahead and return to school on Monday 9 October refreshed for the final few months of the year.

Parent Survey

Response requested by Friday 6 October

The Board of Directors and I continue to pursue a journey that positions Redlands as a leading contemporary and innovative school inspiring students to adapt, create and thrive in our complex global community.

At the heart of this journey is our community. We recognise the vital role our wider community plays in the growth and prosperity of Redlands and remain committed to providing opportunities for feedback on our performance.

With this in mind, we invite you to complete this short survey which should only take a few minutes, is anonymous, does not collect any personally identifiable information and is open until 11.59pm on Friday 6 October for completion.

Thank you for your consideration and contribution within this important process.  Should you have any questions in relation the survey then please contact us through feedback@redlands.nsw.edu.au.

Our New Uniform

We were delighted to share our new uniform with our Redlands community earlier this week via this video and e-brochure and look forward to its introduction from January 2024.  As advised, there will be a two year transition period where current students may choose to wear either their existing uniform or the new uniform.

More information, including FAQs, is available on Pulse. Please contact feedback@redlands.nsw.edu.au with any further questions or feedback on the new uniform.
