From The Principal
Earlier this week all of our Yr 7 students were involved in a STEAM challenge in which they had to address the future of transport and attempt to solve real world problems such as road congestion, fuel alternatives, sustainability, health/safety, environment and ethics. My thanks to Secondary School eLearning Coordinator, Wendy Duckworth, our Yr 7 Tutors and all involved for making it such a positive learning experience. We now look forward to the Yr 8 STEAM program next week.
The Redlands Ballet and Dance Academy is celebrating the achievements of our students through a number of performances this week, starting with our younger performers last night and further concerts this evening and on Friday evening. It is wonderful to note so many students thriving in the program, under Gilly Revie’s outstanding leadership and I am looking forward to attending on Friday to enjoy the showcase at The Concourse.
The 1st Boys and 1st Girls Rowing crews are travelling to Melbourne this weekend for the Head of River Regatta, which will no doubt be a memorable experience. We wish them well in the competition and for the rest of the 2022-2023 season.
Congratulations to Lucy Horton on her selection to participate in the NSW Constitutional Convention at NSW Parliament House on Tuesday 29 November. This is an exceptional achievement and is a reflection on Lucy’s dedicated participation and leadership in debating and public speaking at Redlands.
New Redlands Website
Further to the developments in our digital footprint with Redlands Pulse and the Redlands App this year, we are delighted to advise that our new Redlands website will go live mid-next week.
Our new website employs leading innovations in user experience and design, a clean and contemporary look, a stronger use of imagery and videography and a move towards single-page exposure.
