These are very busy times for Redlands! All Redlands staff have been extremely dedicated and are looking forward to welcoming back our students next week for full-time On-Campus Learning.

I would also like to acknowledge our Yr 12 students who have managed to continue with their Legacy Gift efforts, despite their busy schedules. Thank you to Ms Rachel Wilson, Yr 12 Assistant Year Advisor and Caroline Jane, Alumni Manager for their support of our students.

Legacy Gift of Class of 2020 – the tradition continues

The Class of 2020 has been proudly supporting the Redlands Foundation Scholarship Appeal. The cohort have collectively decided on purchasing a ping pong table to be situated in the green space around the New Learning Hub for all current and future students to enjoy and will also contribute funds to the Redlands Foundation Scholarship.

The first fundraising initiative the team are working on is a Yr 12 tea towel, featuring students’ hand-drawn faces. These will be available to purchase in the coming weeks.

“I chose to be a part of the 2020 Legacy Gift team because I would like to leave something behind once I have left Redlands. I want our Year Group to be remembered for contributing to the community and I think it is a really meaningful initiative.” Yasmin Gupta, Yr 12 2020

The core Yr 12 fundraising team (pictured at top) are Caroline Bates, Grace Bracks, Yasmin Gupta, Saskia Jane, Faith Oosthuizen and James Reid. This team has been leading fundraising initiatives which the whole cohort has participated in.

Congratulations to the Legacy Gift team and the Class of 2020! A great effort!

The Peter Lennox Scholarship

We were pleased to receive numerous applications for the Peter Lennox Scholarship, named in honour of Dr Lennox, our former Principal who retired last year after 12 years of exemplary service. The Scholarship, for Yr 7 2021 students, is strictly means-tested and has been possible by generous donations from Redlands parents, Alumni and the Legacy Gift of the Class of 2019.

This Redlands Foundation Scholarship will be awarded to a student with a strong academic record and the ability to contribute to the life of the School in Sport, Music, Dance and Service. It is aimed at providing a Redlands opportunity to a student from a family who would otherwise be unable to attend the School.

We continue in our efforts to support this cause and raise funds to grant another means-tested Scholarship commencing in 2022. For more information, please visit here or contact me directly.
