Redlands Melbourne Cup Luncheon Survey Results
Thank you to all our parents and friends for responding to our survey. We had responses from over 50% of attendees. Your feedback is important to us and we will be incorporating your input into our future planning.
The overarching feedback is that the Luncheon provides a fantastic opportunity for parents and friends to catch up in a relaxed social environment. More than 80% of respondents enjoyed the Luncheon and Sergeants’ Mess and would like the Luncheon to be held at this venue again next year. As a result of feedback received, we will be reviewing the music selection and the menu for next year’s event.
We look forward to rejuvenating the Melbourne Cup Luncheon in 2019. If you wish to get involved in the Event Organising Committee, feel free to contact me on dcasimaty@redlands.nsw.edu.au.
Redlands Konica Minolta Art Prize – Kenny Pittock talks to Redlands Students
Last week Kenny Pittock, the winner of the Emerging Artist Prize in 2017, came to talk to the Yr 11 Visual Arts students about his journey. Students learnt that mentoring in the early stages is essential for an artist’s development and that lots of experimenting with different techniques pays off. Kenny’s creativity and drive were both strongly exhibited in his talk. Thank you to Mark Harpley, Visual Arts Coordinator, for organising this event.
RPFA Second Hand Uniform and Books Sales
Thank You to the RPFA Committee and all the parent volunteers who are involved in organising the second hand uniform sale taking place on Sunday 2 December on the Senior Campus. Without your support and dedication, this event, which benefits many of our families, would not be possible.
Redlands Foundation Scholarship Fund
An Endowment Fund for a means-tested Scholarship was launched in 2010 by the Principal, Dr Peter Lennox. A gift of this nature can assist in attracting and rewarding high-achieving students, recognising the attributes of well-rounded students and helping students who would otherwise be unable to experience the Redlands journey.
“It was a dream of mine to start up the Redlands Scholarship Trust Foundation, and an Endowment Fund for a means-tested Scholarship was launched in 2010. The intent of this scholarship is to provide an educational opportunity to students with demonstrated leadership skills and a passion for learning. My wife Sandra and I have personally made regular donations to this Scholarship Fund since its inception as we are great believers in creating a socially diverse community at Redlands.” Dr Peter Lennox, Principal
