Educate Plus Excellence Awards
The Redlander Alumni Awards program, launched in 2022, has achieved a remarkable milestone, being selected as a Finalist for the prestigious Educate Plus Excellence Awards. Our program was selected from 54 nominations for the Alumni campaign and presented to other participants at the international conference attended by independent schools from Australia and Asia.
This achievement would not have been possible without incredible dedication of our Alumni Coordinator, Kim Flatman, alongside the Awards panel – Vicky Kvisle, Natalie Davies, Amy Cheung and Michael Compton. Their efforts have truly elevated this program and made it inspirational for all our Redlands community.

Spring Online Auction
As part of Melbourne Cup Luncheon we will have our online auction raising funds for the means-tested Coralie Amos OAM Scholarship. The auction will be open to the whole school community in Term 4 and will close at the Luncheon. The auction would not be possible without the generous contributions of our school community in donating prizes for the auction, our raffle and sweeps on the day. If you can help, please contact Jenni De Jager, Development Coordinator on 9908 6484 or foundation@redlands.nsw.edu.au.
Dance Awards – Welcoming Redlander Scholars Back to Campus
We were thrilled to welcome Redlander Dance scholars India Patten, Captain of Dance 2000 and Ariane Beeston (nee Solomons), RL 2001, who joined us back on campus to celebrate at this year’s Dance Awards. Their words of encouragement and support were greatly valued by our young dancers, and they thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful event.
After graduating from Redlands, India spent time in the US pursuing an acting career, with credits including the smash hit movie Interstellar, and television shows Greys Anatomy and CSI: NY. Having returned to Sydney, India is now pursuing her passion to help others as a Speech Pathologist.
“During my time at Redlands I was lucky to be able to nurture both my love of ballet through the opportunities given to me by attending the dance school, as well as my love of writing in the first cohort to complete extension two English! Writing and ballet have continued to be cherished parts of my life.” Ariane
In 2001 Ariane topped the state in 3 Unit Classical Ballet and was recognised with a feature article in the Mosman Daily newspaper. She continues to teach ballet to children and adult beginners. Ariane is currently the Communications & Project Manager at COPE: Centre of Perinatal Excellence, and recently published “Because I’m not myself you see,” a frank, hopeful and darkly funny memoir of postpartum psychosis and recovery. We are so proud of both these incredible Redlanders!
