Redlands Melbourne Cup Luncheon – Early Bird Tickets Available Now
This year the tradition continues as we host the event that stops the nation at the Sergeants’ Mess in Chowder Bay overlooking stunning Sydney Harbour. Join us for an unforgettable afternoon with French Champagne on arrival, a gourmet three course meal with fine wines, raffles and sweeps, entertainment and fashions on the field.
Early Bird tickets are available until 30 September. Tables of 10 are available and a limited number of tables of 12. To book, please put down your seating preferences by Year group or names of guests you wish to be seated with. A bus transport from the venue to the Buena Vista (Mosman Junction) can be booked as well as French Champagne to be served during the afternoon.

Spring Online Auction
As part of Melbourne Cup Luncheon we will have our online auction raising funds for the means-tested Dr Sue Morey AM Scholarship. The auction will be open to the whole School community in Term 4 and will close at the Luncheon. The auction would not be possible without the generous contributions of our School community in donating prizes for the auction, our raffle and sweeps on the day. Redlands Foundation Scholarships Awarded!
It’s truly a special moment! The gift of education is one of the most valuable contributions to society and it’s wonderful to see the efforts of many individuals culminate in such a rewarding outcome, while acknowledging the accomplishments of Dr Sue Morey AM and the legacy of Dr Peter Lennox. Thank you sincerely to all who made this possible!
Our two Redlands Foundation Scholarships have been awarded to Lalibela Gregory and Jackson Trude, who will commence in Year 7 in January 2024.
Lalibela Gregory is a School Captain at Alexandria Park Public School where she is in the Opportunity Class. She studies ballet, piano, clarinet and voice and is a talented sportsperson involved in many school and club teams such as AFL, Soccer and Basketball at representative level. She is also a strong public speaker who has won multiple public speaking competitions.
Jackson Trude attends Balgowlah North Public School where he is Vice Captain. Jackson is heavily involved in sport, including state swimming and plays the Acoustic and Electric Guitar. Jackson’s mother and grandmother are both Redlanders and his great-grandfather Bruce Adams was one of the founding Directors of SCECGS Redlands Ltd in the 1970s.
This year our journey continuous to raise funds for the sixth means-tested scholarship. These scholarships are funded from an endowment fund and therefore provide an opportunity for Redlands to continue awarding these scholarships after the six year period. These scholars make a significant contribution to the life of Redlands and are aligned with our school values of Compassion and Social Responsibility. 2023 Alumni Awards Ceremony – Bookings Open to All
Please join us for the 2023 Redlander Alumni Awards Celebration, recognising, honouring and celebrating the outstanding local and global achievements of the Redlander Alumni Community. The Ceremony will be followed by dinner, and there will be an opportunity to meet the recipients and other members of our community. Tables of 10 are available.
House Morning Tea
It was wonderful to celebrate with Year 12 at the annual House Morning Teas this week. Each event was attended by past House Captains and students were presented with a gift of a rhino toy, a symbol of Redlands Sport. Messages of support and the importance of staying connected with each other beyond the school gates were shared and we wish all students the very best over the coming weeks.
